This year, will be our second year holding the British Gala festival at the Ararat Event Centre.
Most of our festival visitors that have visited the festival since we started way back in 2015 have seen how the festival has grown over the years, and are familiar with the location that helped us start the event at the Grace & Holy Trinity cathedral in downtown Kansas City.

We have a host of British businesses, and services, and entertainers to be at the Gala, so please take a look below to see what they have to offer..

Car Park

Kansas City EMS Responders
The KCFD will be bringing both a Fire Engine Pumper, and an Ambulance to the car park for all to take a look over, learn what the EMS people drive, learn about CPR etc..
They will arrive between 1-1.30pm, and remain until around 3pm
They will be on duty, so may have to leave at a moments notice

The British Car & Motorcycle Display.is bound to please kids, and the engineers in the family. Always great to see some great British vehicles that include: Land Rover, Jaguar, Austin, BSA, Mini Coopers, MG, Triumph, Rolls Royce

The Kansas City Renaissance ​actors including the King & Queen will be wandering throughout the British Gala throughout the day.
You'll be able to have your picture taken with the King & Queen.
They'll also be giving away coupons for their 2018 KC Renaissance Festival.

The Soul Fire Dancers are back this year in all their lovely colourful costumes.
We always enjoy seeing them.

The UK-Lele Orchestra of KC will be playing a medley of some great British classics

Saint Patrick
Come meet, and have your picture taken with the Irish saint himself.
He'll be wandering the hall all day.

SPEAKERS
This year we'll have speaker's for the event.
Those that will come along, and tell you all about what they do, and how things work.
This is something new for the British Gala for this year.

Cornish Pasty Lunches to be served from 11am-2pm.
You'll get a 15 ounce Traditional Cornish Pasty with coleslaw for your lunch. It's enough to fill the healthiest of appetites. If you can't finish it then we'll have takeaway boxes for you, so you can enjoy the rest later.

This year we are having a tombola, and all monies raised from the tombola will go to the Shriner's charity.
All items in the tombola are donated.

Be Social..

Brit's International will of course be there as we're hosting the event.
You may see myself as you walk through the doors into the cathedral's hall.
Please ask any questions you may have about our group.
We have a lot of get together s in the Kansas City area, and can offer a lot of information on where to find anything British in the area, and beyond.
We have a great bunch of club members that come from all over the United Kingdom, and have now settled here in the America's Midwest region.
We're a fun group that meet for lots of laughs, and get to go to some neat places to tour.
We have various tours, and other great get together's planned for this year, but you'll have to join to get in on that them...

Anglophiles are  most welcome too...

Alex's Journey
Alex Goodwin is the young lad that came over from England a couple of years ago to be treated for a rare form of cancer that the doctor's in England were unable to treat at the time, hence the reason for coming to Kansas City.
Alex will be at the festival with his father whom is a serving British police officer.
Jeff Goodwin will be decked out in full British police uniform, and will be joined by several of his colleagues along with several of the Kansas City police officers.

Alex will be selling, and signing the book that his family wrote about his journey about Alex's treatment.

They will also be offering tee shirts, and bracelets for sale too.

All proceeds from the sales will go towards the bills to help treating Alex.

We do hope that you can come meet them all.

We do hope you enjoy your time at the gala, but if for some reason you have comments about the event, please tell us.

We'll have comment cards available at the gala on the dining tables, so please fill those out and pop it in the comment box on the way out.

This is the seventh time the gala has been put together, so your comments could be a help to us for the next one which will be announced very soon.

British Vehicles Expected for the 2018 British Gala

Car display is dependent upon the weather conditions, so if it's a tad damp, many of the vehicles will not be at the event

However, the events in the main hall will go ahead no matter what the weather is outside.
